Iran short ‘Balm’ grabs Italian fest award

Directed by Sobhan Minavi, Iran’s short ‘Balm’ (Marham) has garnered the best director award at the Cinema Patologico Festival in Italy.

The short film depicts a child who is playing; and in his play, he is following a certain goal.

Mersad Afrouzian-Far is the child actor of the short film.

The Cinema Patologico Festival aims to promote young Italian and foreign cinema and activate cooperation between the world of cinema and environments where mental distress and social exclusion are worked out.

The tenth edition of the festival was held on May 17-19 in Rome.
